The PISDOE Initiative addresses the critical need for fuel-cost decoupling in the Pilbara. By integrating a 120MW solar array with a 50MWh BESS, we secure a competitive $2.30/t C1 cost reduction while eliminating 85k tonnes of annual CO2 emissions.

50MWh storage provides frequency control for crushing plants during solar intermittency.
